How it goes

Mailboxes, folders and historical email move over IMAP. Calendars and shared mailboxes do not have an Exchange equivalent here, so this is a migration worth talking through before it starts.

• Mailboxes, distribution addresses and aliases are recreated in poste.io.
• Historical email is synchronised over IMAP, folders and read state included.
• Clients are reconfigured to IMAP with autodiscovery, which poste.io serves.
• We will tell you honestly which Exchange features do not carry over.

What you get either way

• Tested as one unit SMTP, IMAP, spam filtering, antivirus, webmail and administration are exercised together against real servers before an image ships. A version bump in one part cannot quietly break another.
